This Standard specifies insert bearing units¹⁾ (hereafter referred to as "units").

Note¹⁾ Means the combination of insert bearings specified in JIS B 1568 (here-after referred to as "bearings") and cast housings and pressed housings for insert bearings specified in JIS B 1559 hereafter referred to as "housings").
